A couple weeks ago I decided to branch out (way out of my comfort zone) and buy some finger paints for Cole. Now, I must insert here that I am a HUGE Crayola snob so of course, not only are Cole's crayons Crayola brand, so are his finger paints. Crayola has promised since the beginning of time to be washable and non-toxic (thank goodness because three of our crayons are missing bite shaped pieces off their bottoms). I was hoping that the washable part would ring true with our finger paints. :) I set Cole up at the kitchen table in his big boy booster seat and an old t-shirt of mine. I didn't bother with covering the table because a) the paints are washable, right? and b) we don't have any newspaper to cover the table with. Cole had a blast! I showed him how to dip his fingers in the paint and move them across the paper and away he went. He loved watching the colors appear and squishing the paint in his hands. We now have two, very lovely, paintings also taped to our refrigerator. :)I should also add there was no attempt at ingesting the paint. Enjoy the photos and the video. Oh, Crayola paint is VERY washable!!!! The table was sparkling clean after being wiped down and my white t-shirt I was wearing, that happened to get paint on it, came out perfectly clean in the wash! Yay Crayola!!! I knew there was a reason I am a Crayola snob. :)
Cole's painting smock :)
Ooooo! Blue!
Huh, this is weird...
Now seeing what happens when all four colors are mixed.
Wow! Look at my hands!
My masterpiece!
Oh my gosh, he's wearing a hippo! Hahaha! Love it!
