King Cole's Big Day

Since I like sports- I'll give you a photo play by play. I censored the "inappropriate" pictures so everything is PG13.

4-9-10 Friday

12:00am: Adrien finishes watching Baseball Tonight and goes to bed thinking he can sleep in. Saturday plans are to knock off a couple of items on his to-do list in prep for Coles arrival on the 19th.

4-10-10 Saturday

8:30am: KT wakes Adrien up (annoyed he can't sleep in) because she thinks her water broke. She gets online and googles a few sites and calls the hospital. The hospital recommends we go it to be checked out. We shower and I pack (that was one of the things on my to-do list)

9:45am: Arrive at hospital and check in. Hook KT up to monitors and measure contractions- every 3-5min. Confined to bed because of instruments.

"So happy, We're having a baby today!

     If she only knew what was to come"

11:00am: First internal measurement 1cm dilated and 80% effaced. Not doing too bad

2:45pm: Contractions 2-3min apart and pretty strong. KT request an epidural. Can I have one?

"We Love Epidurals!"

3:15pm: Dilation doubled to 2cm!!! Making progress. Epidural starting to work and not feeling any contractions.

5:45pm: 4-5cm dilated and 90% effaced. We are in the +1 position. We're getting there. Just relaxing in bed waiting for things to happen

6:40pm: 6-7cm dilated and 100% effaced

7:40pm: 8cm dilated- almost there!

9:35pm: Nurse Lauren says we are 10cm dilated and can start pushing on the next contraction.

"I'm ready to go Doc"

Push, Push, Push.... and Push, Push, Push...   and Push, Push, Push

10:40pm: The Dr. decides it's time to make a show and joins the fans- I can see the top of his head

"No one told me it was going to be like this"

11:00pm: The Doc gets off her stool so something must be close

11:08pm: One big push and out comes his slimy head!!! Now the fun can begin- Adrien got to cut the cord and play with Cole while the nurses took care of KT

"Help, where the heck am I ?"

"Better take a breath!"

4-11-10 Sunday

"Mean daddy trying to wake me up for breakfast.  LET ME SLEEP!"

KT, Cole, and dad are doing fine- just trying to figure out how this all works and where sleep can fit in the schedule. Thanks for your prayers and support throughout the day. We're excited that Cole decided to join us 9 days early.
