The Chabots Go Camping

Well, we sort of go camping... in our backyard. And, well, not all of us participate... New title: Adrien and Cole Have a Backyard Camp Out

That's much better. Much more truthful and straightforward. We randomly decided one Saturday morning to set up our tent in the backyard. We had a picnic lunch inside the tent so Cole could get acclimated to the environment. Then we took the plunge and Adrien and Cole slept outside in the tent. They made it ALL night!!! We had a lot of fun playing in the tent during the day, we had a camp fire after dinner and made S'Mores and then Ayla and I left the boys to it. What a fun family experience.

7:00 Sunday morning I went out to check on them. They were still asleep somewhere under there!

This video cracks me up every time I watch it. We tucked Cole in and then I sat by the fire while Adrien went in the house to get ready for bed. We asked Cole to stay in the sleeping bag and try to go to sleep. He was so quiet that I snuck over to see if he had actually fallen asleep. Rather than sleeping he was exploring the bottom of his sleeping bag. You can kind of hear him if you listen closely. :)
