He's a Travelin' Man

This year Adrien's parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary! Adrien's sisters planned a big surprise party for Pepere and Gia to honor this special milestone. What started out as a pipe dream for the three of us to fly to Maine to be there for the party turned into a reality when Adrien found SUPER cheap plane tickets. We flew to Maine (at 6:00 AM!!) on October 27th and stayed until Halloween. Our trip was not a surprise but we were able to be there for the party which was a lot of fun.

Our baggage missed our connecting flight on the way there so poor Cole, having flown in his pj's, had to spend most of Thursday in said pj's. Luckily our things were dropped off at Gia and Pepere's house early evening that day so we had everything we needed before bedtime!

We had a nice visit with everyone and were able to do some things we haven't done before. We spent part of Friday at a local zoo that takes in injured animals, brings them back to health, and keeps them (for their own safety). We saw some really cool animals: an albino raccoon, an albino peacock, a mountain lion, 2 bears, and a moose!!! (There were lots of other neat animals too.)

On Saturday, Pepere and Gia's church put on a 10 minute circus and a trunk or treat. We brought a Halloween costume for Cole to wear for the festivities. That was the only Halloween he had this year since we spent the actual day traveling home.
