What Does a Lion Say? ROAR!

Last week Cole and I went to Brookfield Zoo with my dear friend Carol and her two kiddos, Caden and Ethan. Ethan and Cole are about three weeks apart so it was fun for us to get the boys together. We've had a few play dates over the past 18 months but we haven't seen each other since BOTH boys were walking. They are at a fun stage now where they are aware of each other and follow each other around but don't really interact yet. Little do they know now they are destined to be friends for life! :)

It was also fun for me to see Cole enjoy the animals. He's been learning a lot of animal sounds the last 3 or 4 months so it was great for him to see the animals in person. He made the sounds of the lion, the tiger, the [sloth] bear, the seals, and the monkeys. He also made an elephant noise but it was when he saw a rhino; Brookfield Zoo doesn't have elephants anymore. :(

I took a few pictures, Carol took way more. I stole some of her pictures from her blog post (thanks Carol!!). Enjoy our trip to Brookfield Zoo!

We found the lion right in front of the viewing window! Cole is making his lion noise in this photo. :)

This picture just makes me laugh! I wish I knew what was going through Cole's mind at this moment.
