Digital Scrap Booking-Almost

I've been missing my scrap booking these days. I have had an itch to drag everything out and start scrap booking Cole's baby book but let's face it, I have no time for that nor do I have a location to do it in! I have finally scratched my itch a little this evening by revamping the face of our blog. I hope you did notice how cute and "shabby" it is! A lot of my blogging friends have been using templates from a website called shabbyblogs.com. I've always admired their blogs but haven't ever taken the time to look around for something new for our blog. (You might have guess by now that this post isn't really about Cole although I will give him a paragraph in a minute.) I just spent about 40 minutes exploring all the fun backgrounds and fonts available to me. I feel as though I have done some scrap booking on the computer! Yay!!! I'm still looking forward to getting everything out sometime (hopefully soon) and jumping back into the world of paper, stamps, photos, and colored pens. But for now, you may notice the blog changing frequently (or not, depending on how time consuming it becomes!). :) I do want to add that if anyone has trouble reading the blog due to colors, font, font size, etc. please let me know and I will make necessary changes. I don't want anyone to stop reading the blog because it's too difficult on the eyes.

Now then, let me explain why I finally ended up with cars and trains on our blog page. Cole has recently started pointing and one thing he points to A LOT is our sliding glass window. Cole LOVES looking outside and watching the cars pass by. We also have a set of train tracks that run behind our building-Cole really enjoys watching the trains go by. He stands at the window on his own, "asks" to be held up to see better, and even leans sideways in his highchair to see around me to look outside. It's so fun to watch Cole learn about what happens outside our little home. He really has a fascination with moving objects. I haven't captured any photos of this new daily activity but hopefully I can do so in the next couple days. I'd love to share this experience with you!

For now, enjoy the new face of the Chabot Family Blog and I'll get photos up as soon as I can.
