Snow Day!!!

***This is post number 2 for today so be sure to scroll down and read the next one!***

It is not new news that the Midwest was pounded with snow last night and today. Adrien and I have been capturing photos of the snow piling up outside our window all day today. Adrien made a 2 foot measuring stick from a cardboard box, tied it to a metal basket, placed a 25 pound dumb bell in the basket and placed it on the balcony last night. We've been able to gauge (about) how much snow we've had because of his creativity.

This afternoon once the snow stopped and the wind died down we all bundled up and went outside so Cole could 'play' in the snow for the first time. Check out all that snow!!!

Our rigged up measuring stick yesterday afternoon

The snow piling up. I think this was around 11:15 this morning.

This was 24 inches at 12:50 this afternoon.
This is as high as our snow pile got.

Mommy is ready to go outside!

Daddy and Cole are ready too!

What we saw when we opened the backdoor!

Cole and Mommy in front of the huge snow pile.
This is from the plows and continuous snow fall!

Nice family photo!

Cole's first snow angel.

Our balcony!!

Adrien standing behind the snow drift to show how high it was.
This was NOT made by a snow plow!
