Now then, onto Cole Man. As I was checking the blog the other day to see if there were any new posts :) I realized it had been a while. My apologies! We had Cole's 4 month wellness check up on August 13th (I'm not superstitious but it still seemed like a dumb idea to take him for his shots on Friday the 13th-oh well, he survived!) He weighed 14 lbs 3.5 oz and measured at 24 inches long!! He's officially two feet. That seems sad!
Okay, what is King of Cuddles you ask? Only my favorite onesie ever! I'm very sad to report that I have put away all of Cole's 0-3 month tops (funny thing is, his legs are so short he's just starting to wear the 3 month bottoms!). Cole is now wearing 3-6 month clothing-again, not the bottoms though, they would be WAY TOO LONG! One of my favorite pieces of clothing we had for Cole was his King of Cuddles onesie (pictured below). This was a very accurate description of our little guy. Sadly, Cole no longer enjoys cuddling. He now wants to be standing, sitting (both with help of course), or playing on the floor. Every once in a while I might be lucky enough to get a little cuddling in after one of his naps.
I have watched Cole grow and develop so quickly lately, almost on a daily basis! He's so close to rolling over now. He pretty much has it, he just hasn't figured out he needs his arm to be up by his head, not under his chest. He no longer stays where I put him. He has accomplished moving around by lifting his legs up to his belly so he's like a little ball and then he rocks back and forth. When he puts his legs down he has rotated a couple of inches. He does this repeatedly until he's made almost a full circle. It's quite hilarious! Cole so badly wants to be able to sit on his own but hasn't quite got the stomach muscles for that yet. He's definitely getting there though! I've been trying to take a lot of pictures so please enjoy my favorites!
Isn't it the cutest!?
He likes his new excersaucer!
He plays with the toy tray on his swing now too!
Did I mention Cole has discovered pulling hair? He pulls his own and it comes out in clumps in hands but he also enjoys other people's hair!
Pulling Mommy's hair (it was a self portrait)
Pulling Nana's hair and trying to taste it!
Helping Nana with the laundry
Does this look familiar to anyone?
Almost there!
Check out those Baby Blues (we're still not sure where they came from)!
This is Cole's 'rotating' activity. I've shortened it a bit. Let me just add that I didn't start recording right away. I put him under the music activity so I could use the washroom and he was turned sideways by the time I got back!
Lazy roller!

I always love looking at all of your pics! Can't wait to finally meet Cole in a few weeks!!! He is growing so much and he's getting to be very long! I understand your frustration with having to say goodbye to tops (but not shorts/pants). Yeah, our boys have the Chabot legs, just pray Cole (and Josh) have long torsos so they will be tall men! I seriously have a pair of pants that are 6-9 months and Josh can still wear them as pants (and he's 21 months). I personally think there's something wrong with the company's measuring for their clothing because it's not like Josh's legs are that short!!!! But it's kind of funny to think he can still fit in those. So yeah, Josh will be 24 months soon, but I can't ask anyone for new clothes because he's still fits nicely in 12-18 months clothes he got for his 1st birthday!!! Oh, and before I run out of space here, the pic of Cole in the laundry basket is a spitting image of Adrien, I think!!! And those blue eyes, all babies are born with blue eyes, since in the womb they have no light to change the color of their eyes. Over time you will notice they will get darker to a color that fits either yours or Adrien's eyes. Josh's started out as blue, then turned grayish blue, and now they're more grayish green (Dan has brown eyes, and I have hazel so I bet his are going to be hazel, too). Keep the pics and posts coming! Can't wait to visit with you all in a few weeks!!!
