No Longer MIA

I realize we have been MIA for over two months now. I lost my will to blog for a while due to a very unfortunate incident. I'm getting over it and trying to carry on now. The bad part is I now have to catch up on 2.5 months worth of life again!

Two nights before we left for Maine I was updating the blog. (That would be the last post you read.) I started my last post of the night writing about Adrien's and my trip to Las Vegas. I finished up typing and was ready to add in the pictures and that's when I realized I didn't have the pictures on my computer...yet...or anymore? Earlier that day I was putting all the photos from my phone onto the computer in preparation for blogging. At the same time I was moving documents around and deleting a bunch of stuff. I ended up permanently deleting about a month's worth of pictures. Gone. Way gone. Into the black hole that is beyond my digital recycle bin. I panicked. I started Googling ways to recover deleted files. I found a couple free programs and got started. I actually FOUND all the photos I deleted!! But they had been altered and were not salvageable. I HATED TECHNOLOGY at that moment. And myself for being in such a rush earlier that day to get stuff done. If I had just paid a little more attention to the click, delete, click, delete pattern I had going on I wouldn't have been in that predicament. All that to say, I lost my mojo. I didn't want to blog because that meant facing the fact that I have forever lost pictures of my family that I will never get back.

Fast forward to today. Right now I can tell you two of the however many categories of pictures there were that I deleted. Vegas (which I had already posted on Facebook so I actually still have them out in cyber space) and Ayla's 11 month pictures (which really weren't all that spectacular anyway). I have NO IDEA what else I lost so obviously I'm not mourning that loss much anymore.

Now I will move on and pick up this game of catch up I always seem to be playing...
