Ayla's First Month

Not a whole lot happens during the first month of a baby's life. It's mostly just time spent sleeping and eating. This first month we pretty much stayed home and allowed ourselves to adjust to life with two children! We tried to keep Cole on somewhat of a normal schedule (two days at KinderCare, etc.) but he was spoiled to have both Mommy and Daddy home! Even though attention was divided between him and Ayla, he pretty much had one parent to himself at all times.

Mommy's WONDERFUL friend (Auntie) Cristen came to stay for a long weekend. It was so good to see her and have an extra pair of hands around for a few days. Adrien was able to get the bathroom project finished while she was here-she even got to use it the last two days of her stay!!

By the end of Ayla's first month we had a bit more awake time but no real interaction yet. It's a bit too soon for that. :)

Ayla's one month picture-I was going to use Cole's doggy and put a headband on it :) but then we received a gift card to the store we got Ayla's bedroom set from. I bought her a fun animal of her own for her monthly pictures! :)
