"Leavin' On a Jet Plane"

"Don't know when I'll be back again..." Well, actually, that last part's a lie; we are already back. But I did go on a jet plane and so did Adrien and Cole Man! Adrien, Cole and I went to visit Adrien's family in Maine last week. We left Saturday, September 25th and returned this past Saturday, the 2nd of October. I was so nervous that we were going to be THAT family on the plane. You know, the one with the baby who cries the entire flight. Much to my surprise (and why would I be surprised you ask, Cole is perfect!) Cole slept for all but the last 30 minutes of our flight there and was happy as could be for the 30 minutes he was awake. We had a really nice time visiting Adrien's family. We had a chance to relax more than we have in, oh, I don't know, 6 months! We played lots of card games, ate a ton of food (oh wait, that was just me), and spent a lot of time with Adrien's parents and siblings, minus Aaron who lives in California. The last time we were in Maine was Thanksgiving of 2008. Adrien's sister and brother-in-law had just had baby Joshua a couple weeks prior to our arrival. It was great to get to see how much Josh has grown and to get to interact with him. It's a little different playing with a 23 month old than playing with a 6 month old! :)

We had a great time visiting with everyone, but we are also glad to be back home. All three of us have been doing a lot of traveling lately so it will be nice to be home for a good month or two before we travel again. With the exception of homecoming that is. This coming weekend Cole and I will be attending Taylor University Homecoming!! I'm really looking forward to catching up with my girlfriends from college and introducing Cole Man to everyone.

Our next exciting adventure will be starting solid foods! Cole has his next wellness check-up on the 15th of this month. After that appointment we will be starting Cole on cereal!! Be sure to watch for those photos and videos. :)
