Cole also tackled sitting. He can sit for an extended period of time on his own. If he leans forward he can straighten himself back up. He cannot, however, sit back up if he falls back or to the side. Cole discovered he has feet attached to his body and they can go wherever he commands! It's quite hilarious to watch him suck on his big toe as if it were his thumb. Obviously, since he isn't walking yet, his feet are clean and therefore this is not a disgusting habit. Give it a few more months and we'll revisit that opinion. :)
Last weekend Cole and I ventured to Upland, Indiana for my 5 year college reunion at Taylor University. Adrien was not able to join us (mainly because my old roomies and I decided it should be a girls' weekend) so I was solo with Little Man. We had a 3.5 hour drive to TU and home again the following day. Given that Cole has never been in a car seat that long he did pretty well. We stopped about halfway to TU at a Starbucks for a potty break (for Mommy) and a feeding break (for Cole). We had about an hour and a half left after that stop and Cole cried for the last hour of it! I am thankful though that he slept the first portion of the drive and was not crying the entire way! He cried quite a bit more on the return drive but what can I say!? He didn't sleep well the night before, had terrible naps that day, and was probably sick of being strapped in! :)
Cole and foot :)

This is a little long, but I want you to have the full experience too. Enjoy!!!
Showing off Cole's sitting skills
(and the beginnings of Cole's new temper tantrum skills!)
I know if I were the mommy it wouldn't be funny, nevertheless I am splitting a gut laughing at Cole! That kid knows what he DOESN"T want! It is SO funny! Sorry guys...
