October 2013

October... If I remember correctly, we had a pretty nice October. Cole, Ayla, and I went to a local farm stand/petting zoo. We fed some goats, looked at other cute farm-ish animals, and bought some produce. Our big purchase was a pumpkin that was slightly bigger than a softball. You heard that right. A softball. It was for painting. And paint it we did. Well, Cole did. I took pictures and watched him transform it from an adorable smiley face pumpkin to a big black rain cloud.

Cole had a field trip with his preschool class to a pumpkin patch. It was actually a ginormous green house with activities for the kids and a wagon full of pumpkins for them to pick from. We brought home two pumpkins for carving. I was able to go as a chaperon; it was fun to see Cole interact with his school friends!

Then, of course, there is Halloween. There was some pumpkin carving involved (I hope I took pictures!) and trick-or-treating. Adrien took Cole out for over an hour while Ayla and I stayed home to pass out the candy. I didn't get very many photos of Cole for obvious reasons but I sure did capture Ayla's enjoyment of the whole affair! Cole dressed up as an instruction (read CONstruction) man and Ayla was snow white. I may have thrown on a pair of footie pajamas and thrown my hair into pigtails in an attempt to resemble a baby. :)

Oh! We also went to Brookfield Zoo with Nana but failed to capture much of the trip. Booooo.

Field Trip!
