Chabot Family Blog: Somehow I Missed 22 Months...

It was pointed out to me the other night that it has been too long since I last wrote a blog. I can't really blame that on anything except procrastination and laziness. Consider that fact that I now have 4 hours every Monday to do whatever I like (Cole goes to KinderCare 2 mornings a week now). I could be using this time to blog BUT instead I knit while watching TV shows a week late on my computer, read, run errands, or simply waste time (all while doing laundry). I'm setting a goal for myself to blog at least 2 Mondays every month. If it seems I have more to blog about I will up the number of Mondays. Hopefully we'll be able to stay connected with all our patient readers this way. :)

So, let's play catch up. As the title clearly states, I missed Cole's 22nd month "birthday". We have no Dug pictures as Dug is still packed away in the dark storage unit. Poor Dug. And quite honestly, I don't remember a whole lot from Cole's 22nd month. I do have a few pictures. I'll post them now so as not to confuse them with the 23rd month pictures I also owe you. Geeze!

Well would you look at that! It appears I only have three pictures of Cole during his 22nd month and I already posted them! (That would be the photos from the last post.) Wow, I'm really feeling off now!

Onto 23 months then. Guess who's still in storage! My goodness, but the time we get Dug out of storage Cole is going to look huge compared to the last picture he had with Dug! Ha! Cole has been a busy little guy lately. He started going to KinderCare 2 mornings a week. He is continuing to learn his alphabet (although he could identify all the letters before attending KinderCare). They have circle time 3 times every morning and they sing songs, talk about whatever the topic is for the day, read books, talk about days of the week, the weather, and counting. The second day Cole went to "school" he woke up from his nap counting in Spanish "dos, tres, ocho. Yay! Do it again!" Apparently they are learning to count in Spanish and English. :) He cries every morning when we drop him off but by the time he gets picked up he is yelling at the top of his lungs "had fun at school!!!!". Cole is learning to play with other children which is something I really wanted for him. We don't have play dates with friends on a regular basis and I was afraid he would learn how to get along with other kids. He seems to be coming along great in that area!

Cole has become much more curious around the house too. He is border lined obsessed with screw drivers (the tool not the drink) and trying to take things apart. He has also found he likes climbing around inside Nana and Nandad's coffee table (see photos below). I've been trying to get more pictures and videos of Cole and I think I have a very random mix of events and activities from the last month or so. I'll post my favorites!

I can hardly believe Cole will be 2 years old in just over 2 weeks. Keep an eye out for posts about this last month leading up to his 24th month-we've been busy! I'd also like to add, for Adrien's sake mostly, that I will not continue Dug pictures every month after Cole turns 2. It seems like a good stopping point for counting 'months old' and just focusing on the fun things we do together and the memories we are making. **I will post one last picture of Cole and Dug once we move and unpack Dug-even if it's after Cole's birthday.** :)
