I think you may already know that Cole Man can do the army crawl-nothing has changed there other than he's a bit faster. He now likes to stand more than anything. He can't pull himself up on much and he's quite wobbly on his own feet but he prefers standing to sitting or crawling. A couple weeks before Thanksgiving Cole got his first two teeth. The front bottom two teefers, as we like to call them, came in about two days apart. I had no idea the first tooth had arrived until I stuck my finger in Cole's mouth one morning and it actually hurt when he bit me! He didn't get super fussy or spike a fever at all-the teeth arrived on the sly. I have yet to get a good photo of them because usually when Cole smiles his tongue covers them. I'm working on it! The top two are now in the process of coming in. Unfortunately for my sanity they are not so sly. Cole had a fever one day last week and has been Mr. Grump for the past 9 days. I had no idea it would take this long!!! COME ON TEETH!
Adrien, Cole and I went to Florida for Thanksgiving with Nana and Nandad to visit Cole's Great Nana and Poppa . Cole was a trooper, yet again, on our flights. The way down we had a layover in Indianapolis. After we landed there we were told there was a medical emergency and we'd be leaving as soon as things were taken care of. It was supposed to be a 30 minutes layover, we didn't even have to deplane. It was a 'drop some people off and get a bunch of new travelers' kind of thing. Since we had to wait for this "medical emergency" (turned out to be some 30 year old having an anxiety attack about his upcoming wedding!!!), we ended up being delayed another 2 hours due to weather. YES! As we were waiting for this guy to calm down it started to sleet! All this to say, Cole did a wonderful job. He was happy and playful the whole time! Our flight home at the end of our trip was a 7:00 PM flight-he slept most of the way! We had a great time in Florida. Cole loved the warm weather, visiting with his grandparents and Great grandparents, and getting to share a room with Mommy and Daddy (not recommended!).
We returned the Monday after Thanksgiving and the next morning Adrien took off for a (nearly) two week stay in Minnesota. I will not complain about how bummed we were to have him gone that long since he ended up having the best week of his career while away! But needless to say we missed him. Cole and I were supposed to spend the first week and a half at home and then were going to Nana and Nandad's for the last Wednesday to Saturday. However, I woke up the first Saturday covered in hives from my hips down-no clue where they came from. One sure fire way to clear up hives fairly quickly is to take Benadryl regularly. Well, I cannot take care of myself while on Benadryl let alone an 8 month old, so we packed up our belongings Saturday morning. Nandad drove all the way to get us and took us back to his house. Cole and I had a lot of fun hanging out with Nana and Nandad and Mommy got some extra girl time with her friends and her mom.
Below are many pictures from our trip and the weeks since. You will also find a few videos. Enjoy!!! If you don't hear from us again before Christmas, Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year!!!!
