Almost 2 Months!

As we are fast approaching Cole's 2 month birthday I am so often amazed at how quickly he is growing and developing. As mentioned in previous posts, Cole can still roll over. We can't even do tummy time now because as quickly as we put him on his tummy, he's on his back! Cole has begun focusing on objects and faces now as you will see in some photos below. I put Cole in his swing the other day and turned on the mobile/music as always. For the first time his head turned upward and he watched the mobile spin for about 3 minutes! I was so excited that he finally realized there was something above his head. :) Cole also showed an interest in our friend Matt's photos the other night. Matt sat down on the couch next to Cole's swing and proceeded to show Cole photos of his rock climbing trip he'd just returned from. :) Cole actually looked at the camera the entire time Matt showed him the pictures!

We are getting a few more smiles these days-some even just because Cole wanted to smile! Most of the time we still have to coax them out but every once in a while Cole will smile at us when we smile at him or when we pick him up out of his crib. I love those! It's like he's saying, "Good morning, it's good to see you!" Regardless of whether Cole is smiling or not, he is awake a lot more now. We get a good hour or so of awake time between naps and feedings most days. Some days the awake time is much shorter or almost non existent and other days it seems as though he never sleeps! Each day brings a new adventure.

Adrien and I decided to weigh and measure Cole ourselves yesterday since it had been 2 1/2 weeks since his last check up and we still have another 1 1/2 weeks to go. He weighed 11.5 lbs (our scale only measures to the half pound so ounces may be off) and he was 22.5 inches! Our little man is growing so rapidly. I had to pack away all his newborn clothing this past weekend. He is now officially wearing 0-3 months. However, the pants and shorts are all way too big but newborn pants look like Capri pants on him!

Here are some of my favorite photos from the past couple of weeks. Enjoy!!

Doesn't he look thrilled!?

Cole LOVES his baths!

Cole also loves his pacifier and swing! :) (I love this one!!!)

He found his thumb!
He does not do this consistently though so it may have been sheer luck!

Cole has some big shoes to fill!

Cole watching the mobile!

Cole very interested in Matt's photos.

I just really like his feet! :)

Cole and Daddy were matching for church this week.
Too bad I wore my orange top last Sunday!

Adrien was holding Cole this morning and it cast a shadow on the bedroom wall. I thought it made for a great photo.

Then I asked Daddy to take one of Cole and me! :)
